Peace Love and Zombies
Jess <3
Last week, me and the boyfriend were lucky enough to be able to take part in a couples rockabilly zombie photo shoot! It was freeezing out (below 20 degrees farenheit plus a very strong wind), but we got into our best pinup/rockabilly gear and braved the cold! The pictures turned out phenomenal, totally worth almost getting frostbite!
Here's some pictures from the shoot!
Pretty awesome right?!! If you want to see the rest of the pictures go HERE!

I wore this to go out with the boyfriend and some of our friends last week.
We ate a feast at IHOP (using coupons that my Extreme Couponer friend Cassie had), then watched Skyfall at the Dollar Theater! A very fun, cheap night out! What I Wore: *My amaaazing Food n Weapons T-shirt that I got in a night market in Thailand for $4.oo (Yes, that is a grenade fry holder, and the hot dog is a stick of dynamite!) *My plaid skirt that I bought in an open air market in China for $5.00 *Electric Blue tights that I got in the same market as the skirt for $1.oo and *Black Boots my sister gave me a couple years ago
My Hair.
I am pretty much obsessed with doing my hair like this right now! It's a Vintage Updo pinup Swirl and it is very easy to do! Hmmm...maybe i'll have to make a tutorial for this... *Let me know if you would be interested in a pinup swirl tutorial!* Peace Love and Swirls Jess <3 Hello everybody! I've added three more items to the things I've completed on my List of Things I Want to Do Before I Die. Check it out!
because I wanted to take the test to see how good my Mandarin was, and also have a document saying my score. I guess you can't really "pass" the test, because it just rates your language. I took the test, and got an Intermediate High Rating, which is the second best you can get! I was ECSTATIC with my score! I had only been studying the language for two years, so this was definitely an amazing feeling getting to cross this off my list! *What are some things you've recently (or not recently) crossed off your Things You Want to Do Before You Die List? Leave comments and pictures!* Peace Love and TIWTDBID Jess <3
For Valentines this year, I wanted to do something special for my boyfriend.
He is OBSESSED with zombies (his entire right leg is zombie tattoos), so for Valentines day, I made him a set of zombie sheets, with matching pillowcases! I wasn't too sure how good it would be, but it actually turned out really good, and he looooved them. It made me very happy! Here's how I did it, and more pictures!
This was actually pretty easy to make! I just
traced my hands all over the place, making missing fingers, chunks taken out, and whatever else I felt like doing!
For the pillowcases, I splattered "blood" on the insides, then made arms coming up the outside.
I am extremely pleased with how it turned out!
And I will actually be selling these now!!! Go to my Etsy page and order yours today! *Let me know what you think of it! Leave comments, pin it, like on facebook, and share! Thanks dears! :P* Peace Love and Zombies Jess <3 Happy Chinese New Year everybody! I know I'm a little late, but the internet at my house has taken a crap on me, so I haven't even been on here for a couple days. It is very stressful! February 10th is the start of the 2013 Chinese New Year. 2013 is the Year of the Snake. My Chinese friend Jing Xu wrote this about the history of Chinese New Year: "It all started about few thousands of years ago, the wild beast Nian (which also the word for "year") showed up at the end of each year to attack villagers. The only way to scare away the nian is the loud and bright fireworks. That is how this Chinese New Year tradition begun. The Chinese new year is a 15-day holiday in China. On this day, everyone goes back to their hometown. The transportation goes wild during that month. On new year's eve, We eat feast (My mother usually cooks 10 or 12 dishes) with our families. Kids get red bags(money) for good luck. And then we start fireworks!!!!!! On the second day, we all wear our new clothes and started Bai Nian, Which means "visiting your relatives and send your best wishes to them" in next 15 days. Oh I miss you, My China home." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chinese New Year is amaaazing. It's the time of year where everyone travels back to their hometowns to be with their friends and family to be together and celebrate. I was fortunate enough to be able to experience two Chinese New Years while in China! During the Chinese New Year Festival, there are more fireworks than you could ever imagine! So much fireworks, tons of people, and lots of food! Here's a video I took during festivities of the 2009 Chinese New Year. I took it on top of my friend's apartment building. Incredible! 祝你新年快乐了! Peace Love and Chinese New Year Jess <3 Hello everybody! Well, I am officially back from my cruise to the Bahamas! It was an incredible trip, and as promised, here is some (ok a lot of) pictures!
Once we got to Florida we were SO excited, SO sleep deprived, and SO amazed by the warm weather and palm trees (it was snowing when we left Ohio), that we found the Spanish radio station and had ourselves a nice little dance party! Haha enjoy!:P
And now for the food. Ohhh the food... All you can eat, 24 hours a day, and we definitely took advantage of it! Shrimp Cocktail, Sirloin, Lobster Tail, Crab Cake, Alligator, and a Pear soaked in wine! We went to Freeport, and Nassau, Bahamas. We visited the beach, walked around the island exploring, drank rum out of coconuts, got free shots at Senor Frogs, and did lots of shopping! ![]() Now I am back in snowy, 20 degrees Ohio! I definitely miss the sunshine and beach, but it is nice to be back. But now that I am home, I've seen that things are changing. I'm still trying to wrap my head around things, and I still don't know what is happening, or what the universe is trying to tell me, but all I know is that life is headed in different directions... Peace Love and the Bahamas Jess <3 In the beginning of 2013, we all figured out what we wanted to accomplish this year, and wrote down those goals. We're a month into the new year already, so I wanted to just take a couple minutes to look at our goals. See how our goals are coming along, what we are on track for, and what we need to work on! Get out the piece of paper your goals are on, and take a look at it. Here are my goals for 2013:
Now go through each goal individually, and write down how you're doing on each one. Here are mine: *Make $13,000(and all my other financial goals) Work has been really slow lately, and my hours have been getting cut, so I now need to sit down and figure out my finances. *Do Yoga 3 times a week Doing pretty good! I went to a class (it was AWESOME), have been using the Yoga Dvd my sister got me for Christmas, and if I don't do any of those, I'll usually do a couple poses before bed. I feel so flexible, and hopefully by the end of this year I'll be able to cross off #17 on my TIWTDBID List; be able to do a split! *Drink 5 cups of water a day Doing this! It was kinda hard at the beginning, but it's getting easier! And I feel great doing this! *Eat 1 tbs of coconut oil a day I've been really good at doing this! *Eat healthier, homemade food This is one I definitely need to work on. *Stay just as happy with my boyfriend as we are now Check! *Model Not done yet. Still trying. *10,000 pageviews in one month The month of January I had 5,000 views. So I need to double this number by the end of the year! *Find a place to sell my crafts Still working on it. *Get my band started up again Were having our first band practice of the year when I get back from the cruise! *Study Chinese 3 times a week Need to do this! *Give $456 to Compassion Right on track. I give $38 every month, so by the end of the year I will have $456. *Buy jewelry from Eden Haven't yet. *Go on a cruise to the Bahamas Check! (: *Go to China or India Still working on this! *Go to Abbey Road on the River in Kentucky So far on schedule. *See my brother's band play two times I've seen his band play once already, only one more time! I'll most likely go during the summer. After you've done all that, if you've added or changed any of your goals, now is the time to write those in! I changed my former goal of 'save $500 for California' to 'save $1,000 for California', and I've added 'Do a split' to my Learning/Development Goals. So I have added those on the piece of paper that holds my 2013 Goals (That is hanging up in my room [this is actually very helpful for reminding yourself what goals you want to accomplish, and what you need to do daily to accomplish those]). I am not going to be doing a Goals Update every month, because that is not necessary, but If you want to do it, feel free! I'll be doing another update after a couple months, and after we write down all our goals and how we're doing on them, then we'll take time to figure out what we need to keep doing, and what we need to change to stay on track for our goals!
