And just for funn! Here's my haaiirrr!!! I am loooving my hair like this right now and have been doing it like this every day this week! It's very 50's/Pinup style!
I wore my hair like this to my friend Brittany's Bridal Shower two days ago.
Funny Story about that night! I was sitting there talking to my friends, when a lady comes upp to me and says, "Excuse me, but I just had to tell you that when my daughter saw you she said, 'Look! It's Katy Perry!' , and then she creeped a picture of you and sent it to her brother saying, 'Look I saw Katy Perry!' "
Hahaha this made me laugh VERY hard! Well, have a wonderful Thursday!

                                                                     Peace Love and Thursdays!

D.I.Y Mom Capris to Shorts

DIY Mom Capris to Shorts Tutorial
Today my mother was getting rid of some clothing. Amongst this clothing, was a pair of mom jeans. Even worse, they were mom capris! So I decided to turn this unwearable pair of pants into some shorts! It's very easy to do, and here's how I did it!
Picture

What you do:
You take a pair of old ugly mom jeans, put them on, and mark them depending how short you want them. You can make them as long or as short as you want. In this case, I made mine a little bit longer because I made rolled up shorts.

Picture
.
Take the pants off, and cut at the lines, then put the scraps aside to use for patching jeans, or for other d.i.y projects.

Picture

And voila! Here's the shorts! You can keep them like this, or roll them like I did!

Picture

And here's me with the finished product! I'm pretty excited to wear them this summer! (Don't mind my slippers!) :)

So instead of going to the mall and buying really expensive shorts, stop at a thrift store and grab an old pair of jeans (or capris!) and make your own shorts this summer!

Peace Love and D.I.Y

Just a little bit of inspiration for your day from the one, the only, the beautiful, Marilyn Monroe <3
"I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderful." -Marilyn Monroe
"If I'd observed all the rules, I'd never have got anywhere." -Marilyn Monroe
"The body is meant to be seen, not all covered up" -Marilyn Monroe

I think every woman should take some self-confidence tips from this lady!
Well have yourselves a terrific tuesday!

Inspiration: Living Your Life

Setting Goals after Graduating
Picture
Today, my baby sister graduated from hi skool. Amongst all the craziness it got me to thinking...
I know you'll probably think I'm crazy, but I love graduation ceremonies. I always end upp crying (today it was outdoors, so I just wore my shades the
whole time so no one could see me crying haha), and I loove the speeches. You know the ones, where you are told that this is the first day of the rest of your life, and that the decisions you make today, will determine how the rest of your life will turn out, and all of them always include at least one Dr. Seuss quote! Although these speeches are usually repetetive and predictable, I still love them, because they are SO true!

Picture
(and just for funn, here's one of my Senior pictures from waaay back in the day)>>>

Think about it this way, hi skool can be fun! But, it's only 4 years of your life! After you leave there, you have literally your entire life ahead of you to live! And I think that's a lot better than being in hiskool! Sure, in hiskool you dont have all the responsiblities you do once your out in the "real world", but once you have entered the "real world", you can do anything you want! Literally, anything in the world! And that thought gets me soo excited! The entire world open to you! So that's what I want to talk to you about today. I want to ask you a couple questions!

What have you done since you graduated hiskool? What did you imagine your life turning out to be like? Is it anything like you imagined? If not, is it headed in that direction? What direction is it headed in? What direction would you like it to be going in?! So many questions! Well, I think today is a good time to sit down and ponder this...because life is so busy, and if we never stop and take time to think about our lives and what we want, the next thing we know, were 50 and completely unhappy with our life! We need to take time RIGHT NOW to sit down, and think about this. Grab your journal, and sit alone with your thoughts for a while. Take as much time as you need, and carefully, thoughtfully, and honestly answer these questions (if you just graduated hiskool, or are still in skool, just answer questions 4-8) :
1. When I graduated from hiskool, what did I want my life to look like in 5 years?
2. Why did I want that life?
3. Do I still want that life?
4. What does my life look like now?
5. What do I want my life to look like 5 years from now?
6. Is my life headed in that direction?
7. If not, what steps can I take TODAY to get it headed in that direction? If it IS, what can I do to make sure it STAYS headed in that right direction?

So really take some time with this, meditate on it, write down your TRUE feelings, and let this help you start the life that you always wanted for yourself!

Picture
(one of my little sister's Senior Pictures)>>>

I am going to be taking time to do this also. I find that it's good to do this once a year, just to keep yourself on track, because it it sooo easy to get distracted by doing a bunch of little things that aren't helping you have the life you want. And those little things add up so quickly, taking time away from the important things. Example: You want to be in a band and get famous! Instead of using your time to practice and get amazing on the guitar, or going to local shows and making connections, you spend most of your time playing video games,  and drinking. Now, I'm not saying to stop doing those things completely! But, if you do have plans and dreams and goals for your life (which I hope you do, after answering the above questions!), you will need to start managing your time better, which means cutting down time spent on things that aren't doing you any good. Which leads to question number
8. What are some things that you can spend a little less time doing, or just cut out of your
life completely? This can include activities that waste your time and are not helping you
reach your goals in life, or activities that you don't really even enjoy that much, but just
do anyways (like if you've been hanging out with a friend that you realize you don't really
like that much, and they are always bringing you down, maybe it's time to consider
    cutting ties with that person).

Well lovelys, I hope you all take the time to answer these questions! If you do, I guarantee that this will help you get headed in the direction you want your life to go! Leave comments and let me know what you find out about yourself! I am very excited to hear about it!

For those of you who missed the 2012 Cleveland Asian Festival, never fear! I was there, and I can fill you in on what you missed! The Asian Festival is a festival that is held every year in Cleveland, Ohio. It is held outdoors, by the Asian Restaurants and Market. My friend Matt and I went (we are both in love with China).
We got to see (and I got autographs and my picture taken with) the Dance Crew Instant Noodles, from Season 6 of Mtv's America's Best Dance Crew!
Picture
We ate some amazing Chinese food, I got to meet a bunch of Chinese people to talk to in Mandarin (which always makes me VERY happy!), and I got interviewed by 216tv. I'll post the interview when I get it.
They also had Karate demonstrations, dancing, sushi eating contest, and much more!
Picture

Here's me and Matt. He looks so stoked to be there! >
>>
Hahaha. Love him!
Here's the website for Asian Festival, check it out for more information on it!

how you are doing in your empowerment journey thus far! Let me know any questions you might have, or anything you would like for me to talk about on here, and let me know how you are enjoying the blog so far! I would love love love! to hear from each and every one of you! In this blog, I want to pour out my feelings, my hopes,

Terrific Tuesday! Relaxation; Part 2

How to Relax...Part 2
A mountain that I was on in Fiji. I would love to do my Mind Clearing Exercise sitting here every morning! How about you?!!
Welcome to the second installment of TERRIFIC TUESDAY!!! On the first Terrific Tuesday I talked about different ways to relax your body. Have you been doing it?!! How ya feelin? Well hopefully you did, and your feeling great and relaxed! Today is the second part of the Relaxation Series, and I'm gonna talk about different ways to relax your mind and spirit. Because you can relax your body all you want, but if your not at peace in your
mind, then your body's still not going to be in balance.
There are plenty of different ways for you to relax and clear your mind and refresh your spirit. Today I am going to talk about two of my favorites.
Journaling and the Mind Clearing Exercise.
Journaling:
Journaling is always a good way to relax, get your feelings out, and calm down. It's a good thing to do before bed, because there's something about writing down all your emotions and feelings about the day, that make it easier to fall asleep. Kind of like, well, this day is
over, and I'm gonna write down the details about it, so I'll never forget this day. Then once you've done that, you're ready for what the next day has in store. I've been journaling since I was in Jr. High, and I looove going back and reading all about the different times in my life. If you don't believe that journals are powerful conveyors of emotions, then take into consideration, that while reading through my old journals, I've laughed uncontrollably, blushed, and cried my heart out. When you read it, it takes you back to that time, when that thing happened to you. So for me, journaling is amazing. Try it. Just write whatever comes to your mind. Whatever you did that day that you want to remember, or anything that stuck
out to you. Not only will it relax you in the moment, but you will have it saved to read later on in your life, and that is priceless.
Mind Clearing Exercise:
I got this exercise from the book cleanse purify energize; Sensible Detox Strategies to Improve Your Whole Health by Charmaine Yabsley. This book is incredible, I highly recommend reading it. I love this exercise because it is quick, and you can do it whenever your feeling a bit frazzled or out of it.
Find a quiet, comfortable place to sit. Place your cupped hands over your eyes, then close your eyes. Take a deep breath and concentrate on allowing the stresses and strains to leave your body. Hold this position for at least ten breaths, then remove your hands from your eyes. Slowly open your eyes and focus on your  surroundings. Remain seated comfortably for a few more minutes enjoying the feeling of peacefulness.
And that's all you have to do! Try doing this every morning after you wake up, and see how you feel!
Well that's it for today, try these two exercises, and leave comments telling me how it was, and how you feel! :)

What I am Wearing:
-A 1980's Dress (complete with shoulder pads!), that I got at a Rummage Sale for a couple pennies (it was fill a bag for $1.oo, and I got a LOT of stuff in that bag :p) that I

The poster for the show^^^

<<<You  can see my eyes good in this one

Just a little Before and After of my creation :)
Picture
To make this dress, I cut off the top at the armpits, and sewed it upp, hemmed the bottom up into a  bubble form, and had to expand the sides a little bit cuz i could barely breathe in it, and I figured that would not be good for singing!

Thanks again for those who made it out last night, if you didn't, maybe next time. I would love to see you there!
