Coffee Break Retro Style Vlog Series- Basic Retro Makeup
So I have finally started a vlog series!!!
If you follow my Instagram you've probably heard me talking about it a lot lately.
I have done some videos here and there over the years, but now I have started my very own vlog series, called Coffee Break Retro Style!

Coffee Break Retro Style Vlog Series- Basic Retro Makeup
Coffee Break Retro Style Vlog Series- Basic Retro Makeup
I love retro and pinup style, but unless I'm doing a photoshoot or it's a special occasion, I just can not be bothered to spend more than 10 minutes getting ready. I want my retro style to be showcased on the daily, but I am not putting my hair in a full curl set, or wearing false eyelashes to go to work.
So this series is all about retro hair, makeup, and style that you can do in 10 minutes or less-so quick and easy you can do it on your coffee break!

Here I have for you my first Coffee Break Retro Style video!
In this video I show you how to do my basic retro style makeup look that I use on a daily basis. Winged eyeliner and red lips-it is so quick and simple, but it is such an iconic retro look that you can do on a daily basis-it goes with anything!
Find some of the products I used here.

Omgnb Wigs

Hello dear readers!
Today I have something fun for you, something that I have never written about before...
Wigs!
I was contacted by Omgnb.com about writing an article on their wigs and hair pieces, and, with my propensity for all things girly, cute, and hair, I of course, had to say yes!
For the first hair piece I picked out, of course it had to be pink, and of course it had to be super crazy, fun, and completely over the top! If you are searching for a Cosplay Wig look no further, Omgnb.com has literally hundreds of them (and I want them all!)!
Any length, color, and style, don't worry, you will find it.

Picture
The next piece I picked out is a little (ok a lot!) more normal, because let's face it even though I might want to, most people don't want to walk around with anime hair for everyday life!
Omgnb.com has a huge selection of Clip in Human Hair Extensions. A Clip in Human Hair Extension is exactly what you need if you're trying to cover up the awkward stages of growing out bangs. It is also great for adding volume and fullness to your mane, throwing in a dash of color (that you can take out for work!), or just for that perfect Veronica Lake hair over the eyes look you've been trying to achieve! You can find any color, length, and even straight and curly clip in hair extensions.

Picture
The last piece I have for you today is the Lace Front Wig for Women. A lace front wig is exactly what it sounds like; a wig in which there is lace in the front (you can see it in this picture). The great thing about the lace front wig is that it allows the user to choose a hairline, part it any way they want, and give the appearance of a natural hairline. So in other words, they look much more real!

I hope you enjoyed this different post today, and that you will check out Omgnb.com's vast selection of wigs, extensions, and hair pieces! Have a great Monday, and a great rest of your week!
*Disclosure*
I was selected for this opportunity by Omgnb.com, and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.

A Very Vintage Valentine's Day Makeup Tutorial

A Very Vintage Valentine's Day Makeup Tutorial
For my Valentine's Day makeup, I wanted to do something different than the traditional pink and red romantic look. I wanted a sexy look. A vintage sort of pinup look that would be a great look for that hot and steamy Valentine's date! So here I have for you my Very Vintage Valentine's Day Makeup Tutorial!

A Very Vintage Valentine's Day Makeup Tutorial
All the makeup I used, can be found in a drugstore. No expensive brands here! Any palette with white, greys, and blacks will work! You will also need 3 shadow brushes, liquid eyeliner, and a set of fake eyelashes. You can find falsies at any drugstore or beauty supply. Go for big fun ones!

A Very Vintage Valentine's Day Makeup Tutorial
Step 1. From lash line to brow bone, sweep your white/pearlescent shadow. Make sure to get the inside of your eye, it brightens up your whole face!
A Very Vintage Valentine's Day Makeup Tutorial
Step 2. Brush your dark grey shadow into your crease, and then underneath your eye, along the lash line, making a sort of semi-circle around your eye.
A Very Vintage Valentine's Day Makeup Tutorial
Step 3. Brush liquid eyeliner along your top lash line, in a thick line. Extend it out, into a wing shape.
A Very Vintage Valentine's Day Makeup Tutorial
Step 4. Brush your dark grey shadow along the winged part of the eyeliner. Top and bottom.

Step 5. Brush a black eyeshadow into your crease, until you get a great smoky look.
A Very Vintage Valentine's Day Makeup Tutorial
Step 6. Fill in your eyebrows. The thicker, darker, and more pointed, the better!

Step 7. Apply your fake eyelashes. They can be tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, they're a breeze. I actually prefer wearing falsies to mascara!
A Very Vintage Valentine's Day Makeup Tutorial
Step 8. Using a brown contouring powder (or a brown eyeshadow), and a thin contouring brush, sweep into the hollows of your cheekbone.
Step 9. With a fluffy blush brush (say that 3 times fast!), sweep a bright pink blush directly above, and slightly overlapping your brown shade. Blend blend blend!
A Very Vintage Valentine's Day Makeup Tutorial
Step 10. A pink nude lipstick tops off this look. Doutzen's nude by Loreal is the most perfect pink nude I have ever found!
A Very Vintage Valentine's Day Makeup Tutorial
Pair with some bumper bangs, or other pinup hairstyle, a slinky red (it is Valentine's Day after all!) dress, fishnets, and heels. Wow! You vintage Valentine's Day babe you!

Wedding Makeup for Pale Girls

Wedding Makeup for Pale Girls
I am a pale girl (And I embrace it).
So for my wedding day, I knew there was no other way to go, than to work that paleness! But not everyone agreed with me, people were absolutely horrified that I wasn't going tanning before my big day! "What? You're actually going to look like yourself, and accept how you look?!!" I could almost hear people shouting at me!
If you're a pasty lady, you probably know exactly what I'm talking about! So just ignore all those orange, wrinkled, and leathery people who keep telling you that you need to be tan on your wedding day!
I was the palest I've ever been (I carried an umbrella with me everywhere I went for months before the wedding), wore a bright white dress, and I looked fabulous! Here is how you can too!

Wedding Makeup for Pale Girls
This was me on my wedding day. Not too bad for someone that people like to make fun of because I'm pale!

When I was planning my wedding, I went to a professional makeup artist and had her do a trial run on me. When I got there, not only did she not have any foundation that was pale enough for me, but she didn't do my makeup anything like I wanted it!
This is what I left there looking like...
Wedding Makeup for Pale Girls
Wedding Makeup for Pale Girls
I looked nothing like myself, and not at all what I wanted to look like for my big day!
So after that experience, I decided to do my own makeup, and it was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding! I ended up looking like a better version of myself, and that's exactly how it should be!
So all you Casper the Ghost Complexioned women, I have two videos showing you exactly how I did my makeup for my wedding!
So that was video one, and now
...here's video 2!
Wedding Makeup for Pale Girls

The products I used for My Wedding Day:

-Primer
Pixi Redness Reducing Primer.

-Foundation
Urban Decay Naked Foundation, shade .05.

-Concealer
Pixi Undercover Crayon

-Powder
Physicians Formula

-Blush
How to Make Your Face Wow

-Eyeliner
Wet n Wild H20 Proof Liquid Eyeliner.
I used the brush from Wet n Wild Mega Liner liquid eyeliner.

-Mascara
I don't even remember what kind I used. It didn't really matter what kind, because I had fake eyelashes, so I didn't need mascara that lengthened my lashes. All that mattered is that it was waterproof!

-Lip Primer
M.A.C Prep + Prime.

-Lipstick

Doutzens Nude 600 Loreal Colour Riche.

Mermaid Braids Video Tutorial
These "Mermaid Braids" are super adorable, and surprisingly simple! I learned how to do a mermaid braid from a hair book I have. After seeing how cute it looked, I decided that I wanted to do two instead of one, and I absolutely loved the look!
So here is how to do your very own Mermaid Braids!
(And don't mind my face in all these pictures! I was super distracted and in a hurry! Haha)

Try it! This looks cute with long hair, medium hair, and short hair too!

How to Get Super Mega Long Hair!

8/23/2015

Picture
I am constantly, and I actually mean constantly, getting asked the same three questions;
#1. Is your hair real? When I answer and say that indeed it is, the second question, is more of a disbelieving, "No it's not?!" When I've convinced them that it is (unbelievably, more than not, this involves them raking their fingers through my hair looking for extensions!), the third question that I inevitably get, is, "How did you get it so long?!"
So for those of you who've asked, and all of those of you who wonder, here is how I got super mega long hair- and how you can too!

How to Get Super Mega Long Hair
How to Get Super Mega Long Hair
#1. Hydrate your hair monthly.
Doing a monthly mask works wonders for your hair! It makes your hair shiny, beautiful, and healthy. I invented my own hair mask, and the recipe is here. Do this once a month, and you will notice a complete difference in your hair!

How to Get Super Mega Long Hair
#2. Eat healthy.
The two years I lived in China, was when I noticed my hair growing at an incredible rate! Not only was my hair growing faster than I could keep up with, but my fingernails were too! I can't be exactly sure why this happened, but I attribute it mostly to how healthy I ate when I was there. When you eat healthy, it affects your whole body!

So make so your diet consists of;

-Plenty of water
-Lots of tea (not the kind that comes in a can, the kind that you make out of tea leaves!)

-Tofu
-Seafood
-Rice
-Vegetables; asparagus, celery, green beans, eggplant, sweet potatoes, lettuce, spinach, broccoli, and mushrooms
-Fruits
and
-Whole wheat breads and pastas

And stay away from;
-Deep fried foods
-An abundance of meat
-White breads and pastas
-Dairy products
-Sugary foods
-Pop and any sugary drink
and
-Anything with the ingredient high fructose corn syrup!

Picture
#3. Use Millcreek Botanicals Biotin Shampoo
Washing with this shampoo, you will notice longer hair almost instantly! Not only is it very healthy, but it also contains biotin, which is wonderful for hair growth! I don't use this because my hair is already long, but I bought it for my friend and it started working immediately! You can purchase it here.

#4. Massage.
Every time I shampoo my hair, I give myself a little scalp massage. Massaging your scalp is wonderful to stimulate hair growth and health! So when you're lathering your shampoo on your head, just give it a gentle massage in a circular direction with your fingertips.
#5. Only wash your hair once or twice a week.
Yes, I only wash my hair once a week! And! Before you get all judgmental and grossed out, just let me tell you, that it is actually much healthier to wash your hair once or twice a week, than to wash it every day. When you wash your hair more than once or twice a week, it will strip your scalp of all its natural oils, and it makes it produce more oils, at a faster rate, which is why your hair gets greasy when you don't wash it for a day! Which is not how it should be! So because my hair isn't use to being washed every day, I can literally go seven days before my hair starts to show any grease! I actually attribute a big part of my long hair to this tip!
To wean yourself off of washing your hair every single day, read my posthere where I give you great hairstyles for every day of the week that will help conceal a little greasy-ness until your hair starts to get healthy again (and remember, most likely you think your hair looks a lot greasier than other people do!).

#6. Limit use of hair dryers and flat irons.
Using all that heat styling on your hair is very damaging! If you start cutting out, or at least limiting your usage of these, your hair will be so much healthier!
After I wash my hair, I never use a hair dryer. And I only use a flat iron if I slept on my hair wrong and it has a crease in it, or if I want to curl my bangs. People always tell me that my hair looks and feels sooo healthy. Well I used to bleach the crap out of it, so it definitely should not be! But I believe the fact that I don't use these devices helps a lot!

How to Get Super Mega Long Hair
#7. Live a happy, healthy, and fulfilling lifestyle!
I believe that my hair is as long and healthy as it is, because of the healthy lifestyle I live! And I know I already talked about eating healthy, but living a healthy lifestyle involves more than just eating healthy!
I don't smoke, I don't do drugs, my alcohol consumption is very limited, I eat healthy, I drink lots of water and tea, I take my vitamins, and I always make time for myself to relax and de-stress! These are definitely keys to having beautiful skin, hair, and a happy life!

I hope this article helps! Leave a comment and let me know what you think!

I love China. And I love fashion.
That much about me is pretty obvious!
I also love different cultures, people, traditions, and styles of this world!
So, for those of you who love fashion, but have never traveled to China, I have here, a collection of photos I took while living in China from 2008-2010. Some are of me and my friends, and some are of just me, wearing clothing and accessories that I bought in China. As with every culture, you can't say that every person from that specific culture dresses the same, and China is no different. So here I have a variety of fashions! Enjoy some Fashion Eye Candy!

Your Week in Hairstyles! 7 Totally Unique Hairstyles for your Week
Hello lovely ones! Lately I've been on a kick of making one post that contains a LOT of different information; including my different tutorials and products from throughout this site! I'm doing this for you guys, so you can have a lot of information in one spot! Today's post is alllll about the hair! I have here 7 unique and pretty simple styles to make your everyday hair not quite as boring!
For this little experiment, I am going to ask that for this week, you only wash your hair twice! Now, I usually only wash my hair once a week, and my hair is super healthy and doesn't need washed more than that! It is actually a lot better for your hair to wash it only once to twice a week. When you wash it anymore than that, it strips your scalp of all its natural oils, and makes it produce more, at a faster rate, which is why your hair gets greasy when you don't wash it for a day! Which is not how it should be!
So to wean ourselves off of washing our hair so un-needlessly, I made this post. It gives you great hairstyles that you can do, and most will conceal if your hair is looking a little greasy! Yay! So wash your hair on Sunday night, and then here we go!
Seven Hairstyles for Your Week
Monday:
Since your hair is newly washed and clean, you can take advantage of that by doing nothing to it! Just leave it down, maybe tease it a little, straighten it if you want to. Beautiful!
And be sure to wear big fantastic earrings too!:P

Tuesday:
Seven Hairstyles for Your Week
Today your hair isn't as clean as yesterday, but it still isn't dirty, so you can do something super cute and simple, like two pigtails! To make sure that you don't look like you're 5 years old, make the ponytails either at the nape of your neck, or directly even with your ears, like the above picture.

Wednesday:
Seven Hairstyles for Your Week
A ponytail is a very easy, really cute way to do your hair when it's not the cleanest.
Wednesday night or Thursday morning you can wash your hair! I only wash my hair once a week, but I understand that not everybody wants to do that. But don't wash your hair more than twice this week!

Thursday:
Seven Hairstyles for Your Week
Your hair is nice and clean today, so for this style you will need lots of teasing and hairspray! Just leave the rest hanging, and it will look beautiful!

Friday:
Seven Hairstyles for Your Week
This hairstyle is PERFECT for when your hair is a little dirtier! It's a beautiful, simple, Rosie the Riveter style hairstyle. Here is the full video tutorial and pictures!

Saturday:
Seven Hairstyles for Your Week
Semi-dirty hair makes the best poofs. So take advantage of not having washed your hair for three days, and do this incredible look! This was my first video tutorial I did, and my first Hair Tutorial! See it here.

Sunday:
Seven Hairstyles for Your Week
So it's Sunday, and your hair is probably pretty dirty by now! Never fear, I have here my secret weapon for a dirty hair day!The best hairstyle for this is my "Poof with a Headband" Hairstyle. I wrote about it about a year ago, and here is the video tutorial for that! This hairstyle is amazing for dirty hair (especially bangs!), and can save you from any bad hair day!

Well the week is complete, and you now have 7 new, totally unique hairstyles to add to your repertoire! And you will find that since your hair is not being over-washed, it will be very happy, much healthier, and much more manageable too! Yay!

*Don't forget to like this on facebook below, and pin it! Thanks you beautiful darlings! Happy hairstyling!!!*

Shampoo-Commercial Hair; It's Possible!

4/1/2014

How to Get Shampoo Commercial Hair!
Recently, I set out on a quest. A quest to find out if Shampoo Commercial Hair really is possible. The catch, is to get that great looking hair without all the smoke and mirrors; photo-shopping, lighting, and the actual shampoo!
Well, I am VERY pleased to say, that I have made a recipe that WILL give you shampoo commercial quality hair!!! And! You can find all the ingredients in your kitchen! For pennies!!!
Now I pass on to you my incredible Hair Mask Recipe that I swear by, and use myself every month!!!
Picture
Who's this, a couple hair models? Nope!!! Just me and my sister after using this recipe!
These pictures were taken in natural lighting, with no special lights or editing!
Are you ready for the magic hair mask recipe?!! Here it is!
Magic Hair Mask Recipe
Magic Hair Mask Recipe!
This recipe only calls for 4 ingredients! Yupp! Only 4! And, you can find all of them in your kitchen! For only pennies!
What You Need:
-1 Tbs Milk
-1 Egg
-1 Tbs Honey
-1 Tbs Coconut Oil

What to Do:
1. Whisk the first three ingredients together in a small bowl.
2. Melt the coconut oil, then stir it in with the other ingredients.
3. Immediately (the coconut oil hardens quickly) pour the mixture over your head; this part can be a little messy! Haha.
4. Massage the entire mixture into your hair, paying close attention to your ends which are more likely to be the most damaged.
5. After your entire head is saturated in this gunk, put your hair up in a bun, and put a shower cap on.
6. After an hour (two to three hours is best, but an hour will work too), take the shower cap off, and hop into the shower.
7. Make your shower water cold. This is very important. If you rinse your hair out with hot water, it will cook the eggs! Your hair will be completely coated in scrambled eggs! And trust me, I know this from experience! Yupp that's right, my first time doing an egg mask I, without thinking at all (!), rinsed my hair out with hot water, and trust me, it is no fun trying to comb out scrambled eggs that are stuck to your entire head of hair! Hahaha!
8. After you have your hair rinsed, shampoo your hair. You may have to use a little more shampoo than normal, just to make sure you get everything out.
9. Condition your hair like normal.
10. When you get out of the shower, air dry your hair instead of blow-drying (it's not good for your hair).

How to Get Shampoo Commercial Hair
And there ya go! Once your hair is completely dry, you can brush it out a little, sit back and admire your shampoo commercial hair, and get ready for the compliments! Because with hair this shiny, people will notice!
