China Barbie Why Setting Goals is Important
Me, on why setting goals is so so important!
Well everybody, it's that time of year again...New Years! Which means! It's time for one of my favorite things in the whooooooole world! Goal Setting!!! Yaaaaay!!!
Can you tell I'm excited?!!
I always love goal setting, but I am extra excited about setting goals for 2015! 2015 is not only the year I am getting married, but it's also the year me and my love get to travel, get our first place together, and start our new lives together as Mr. and Mrs!!! So to say the least, it is going to be a very busy, fabulous, and exceptional year! So that of course makes me very excited to set goals for all these new adventures awaiting me in the magical year that will be two thousand and fifteen.
Below I wrote out my 2015 Goals, using the template that I use every year. I explain how to use the template in this blog post.

                             China Barbie's 2015 Goals!!!

Financial Goals                                        Career Goals
1. Make $1,000 in monthly cashflow                  1. Have 50,000 Blog views in a month
2. Put $600 in my Car Fund                                2. Have 5,000 Pinterest followers
3. Save $2,400 for a Property                             3. Have 500 Facebook Likes
                                                                            4. Sell 5 ad spaces
                                                                            5. Sell 300 items on Etsy
                                                                            6. Buy a rental property

Personal Goals                              Contribution Goals
1. Get married!                                                    1. Give $900 to Compassion
2. Get our own apartment
3. Adorably decorate my apartment!
4. Go on a fabulous honeymoon!
5. Have a house-warming party!

As you can tell, I didn't use as many categories in my template as I usually do, but that's ok since this year is going to be a lot different than usual!
So once you've reviewed my template, and my examples of goals, you can start making yours!
Remember that your 2015 goals can be anything you want. As long as you really want it! Choose goals that you really really want to see happen in your life. It doesn't matter if they are difficult to achieve, or sound dumb to other people, as long as you really want it, and are willing to work for it! Make your goals clear, specific goals. Example: 'Get in Shape and lose weight,' is a very non-specific, unclear goal, that you will most likely never accomplish. 'Lose 10 pounds by April, then lose another 10 by July, then 10 more by December,' is a very specific, clear goal that you can measure your success, and can take specific steps to reach! That is how you reach goals! By setting realistic, specific, clear goals!
So now, sit down and ponder, not only 2015, but the next couple years of your life also. Figure out what you want your life to look like, how you want to feel, and how you want to influence the world around you.
After you've considered all these things, get out a piece of paper and make your 7 categoried list.
Once your list of goals is made, and you are satisfied with it, hang it up somewhere where you can see it every day. This list will be your blueprint for this entire year.
Every once in a while, when you feel your ambition waning, take a peek at it, and remember why you set each and every one of these goals.

These goals are not only going to help 2015 be successful, but will help sculpt the dream life that you want to build for yourself!
