I was never meant for the ordinary. The average, normal, American life has never its siren song cast my way.
I have always been different-being oddly frugal and interested in finances even as a young child, and being in High School in the early 2000s and sticking out like a sore thumb by being pale, and opting for funky thrift store duds as opposed to pricy and preppy Hollister and Abercrombie uniforms (it was 2005, you just had to be there! This was a pre High School Musical world we're talking about, it definitely wasn't cool to be weird and funky like it is now! I started wearing mis-matched socks [yes I started that trend way back in 2004!] and was told it looked like I got dressed in the dark! Ha!).
I also carried a disposable camera in my backpack with me, because I loved taking pictures, like a weirdo, but look at me now!

Yep, this is me in High School!
I was also highly motivated! When I was still in High School, before I had ever heard the term or concept of, "Bucket List", I made myself my "Things I Want to do Before I Die" List. Not very catchy, but you can't say it wasn't straight-forward!
The year after I graduated from high school, I worked as a dishwasher, then as a 3rd shift waitress at IHOP. It wasn't long before I figured out that I wanted, and needed something more.
And so it began.
On New Years Day I moved to Colorado. I lived there for a couple months, I went on a month long trip to Fiji, Australia, and Vanuatu with some friends, and then I moved to China and lived there for two years!
The passion had been ignited!
For travel, as well as living an extraordinary, and un-ordinary life.

Between the ages of 18 and 25 I had 20 different jobs (and many many more since! I think I'm up to almost 50 now!).
After 20 failed attempts at finding something I loved doing, I came to the conclusion that I am just not made to have a normal, 9-5 job, and live my life like every other “normal” person in America.
That realization stirred up two emotions in me:
1. Excitement! I no longer had to dread every day of my life because I was doing something I hated, and only have the weekends to look forward to! I want to look forward to every day, and love every day of my life!
And 2. Fear! On March 30th 2012, when I quit my Health Insurance Sales Job, I was scared! I was giving up making a steady weekly income, and I had no idea how much money I was going to be able to make doing the things that I love, but, life is short, and I don’t want to spend it being sad, bored, and unfulfilled; I want to live an amazing life full of adventure and happiness!
So after I quit, I got a part-time bartending job, and used my new found free-time to make crafts, and start this blog!

In the 10 years since then, it has been one wild ride.
This blog has grown, and I have learned a lot about being a blogger.
I have continued to travel, and write about those travels.
I bought a house, and have grown my wonderful little family.
I've written a book, and have my preset pack for sale on Amazon.
I am just overall so blessed, and so happy to have been doing this blog for ten years now!
And so grateful to all of you who have come along for the journey.

-I am in the process of making an updated version of my book for Amazon, so be on the lookout for that.
-More presets coming soon! I am in the process of creating more presets for you and your amazing pictures.
