Last week me and the husband went out and explored Atlanta a bit. We ended up at The Varsity, a piece of diner history. Opened in 1928, this place is a downtown Atlanta institution, and with two stories and a gift shop, it is the world's largest drive in restaurant! It serves classic (greasy and deep fried!) yummy diner foods! It was featured on the Travel Channel's Food Paradise Show, pretty cool!

The dining room was almost deserted when we go there, which was awesome! The food was greasy and delicious-get the onion rings! OMG! The vibe was laid back and old school, which I loved almost as much as the onion rings!
We had a really great time at The Varsity, and I would definitely add this to your list of things to do in Atlanta!
