My Top Ten Places to Travel Pt.8; Singapore/Indonesia/Malaysia

My Top Places to Travel Pt. 8 Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia
First of all, yes, I am aware that these are three completely different countries! :P
The reason I'm lumping these three separate Asian countries together, is that because when I was living in China, I was there for the earthquake of 2008. It was pretty bad, and the aftershocks were relentless (we had to sleep outside on the ground [along with the entire city] to be safe the first night!)! I had only been living there for a couple of months when this happened, and the culture shock, mixed with a couple months of learning Mandarin, and the fear of being in my first earthquake had me a little on edge! So me and some of my friends decided to hop a plane and take a much needed vacation to Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
We were only gone about a week, so these three places all kind of blended together for me, but I will be forever grateful for the solace and peace it provided for me and my friends.

Singapore was tropical and beautiful. The first picture is in Singapore on the ocean, and this picture was us walking on the trail that lead to the beach!

While we were in Singapore we got to wakeboard!

There was a motorized line that you held onto, and around the lake it went, pulling you behind it. Pretty cool!

But! I was terrible at it!

I fell a lot!

But it was definitely an experience, and I'm SO glad I got to do it!

Indonesia was absolutely mesmerizing. The fact that we stayed at a five star resort on the ocean with an infinity pool and our own separate huts probably had a little to do with it!
This was the last place we went to before we went back home to Xi'an.

How to Host a Victorian Tea Party!

A couple months ago me, my mom, sister, aunts, and cousins all had a Victorian Themed Tea Party! I wrote allllll about it here! Check it out, it's pretty adorable!
Anyways, we all had such a wonderful time, that I wanted to make a guide so you can have your very own Victorian themed tea party!

1. Make the Menu

Try to keep everything light and cute. Bonus points if it's mini!
Finger sandwiches are perfect, as is an adorable salad, and don't forget dessert!
I found this amazing website that is full of wonderful tea party recipes! Everything from sandwiches, to desserts, to jams!

2. Don't Forget the Tea!

How to Host a Tea Party

It is a tea party after all!
There aren't too many rules with the tea!
You can have hot or cold.
Tea bags or leaves.
Honey or Sugar.
We had all of the above!!!

3. Set the Table

How to Host a Tea Party; Setting the Table
Because my family loves vintage and antique things, we had everything we needed to decorate for the tea party, already in our house!
Look around your own house and attic, and see what you can find!
You can also ask an older relative if you can borrow some of their antiques, or even go to your local thrift shop and find some treasures!
Look for things with lots of lace, pearls, and flowers! Look on the internet for inspiration!
But remember, decorating for your tea party is extremely important. How you decorate your tea party space, can immediately inform your guests what theme they are taking part in!

4. Make your guests paper fans!

Ok, I know these are kind of elementary school and cheesy, but they are suuuper cheap and simple to make, and everyone at the party loved them! Plus! They make a great favor that your guests can take with them to remember their day!

What You Need:

-Computer or construction paper (one for each guest).

-Glitter

-Feathers (I got a bag of yellow and white ones a JoAnn Fabrics for about $3.00)

-Hot glue gun

-Glue stick

-A stapler

How to Make a Victorian Fan
What to do:
-Fold each piece of paper accordian style.
-Put glue (from your glue stick, not the hot glue gun!) in the creases and folds of the fan.
-Sprinkle glitter over the fan.
-Let the glue dry, then shake the excess glitter off, back into the glitter container, or on top of another fan that has glue on it.
-Staple the bottom of the accordian paper together, so that it is now a fan!
and last
-Put some hot glue on the end of the fan, and attach the feathers to it!

#5. Make yourself an adorable hair piece!

How to Host a Tea Party; Hair
I made the hair piece that I wore to our tea party. It was extremely cheap and easy to make, and it looked absolutely fabulous!
You can actually purchase the actual hair piece that I'm wearing in the photograph above, from my shop.

-A small piece of cardboard
-A large alligator clip

And last,
-Glue your alligator clip onto the back of the cardboard with your hot glue gun!

#6. And lastly, don't forget to take plenty of adorable pictures of yourself and your party guests!

Support Small Businesses; Amazing Tattoo Balm

Amazing Tattoo Balm
Welcome back to another edition of "Support Small Businesses!"

Today's Small Business is called Amazing Tattoo Balm.
This balm was made in collaboration by my fiance, who is a tattoo artist, and the local small business owner of Amazing Creams and Lotions, the organic, herbal, and holistic local shop. I actually wrote about her business on a previous Support Small Businesses Post. If you haven't read it yet, it's a must! You can read ithere.
This home made and almost 100% organic (not every ingredient is organic, but a good majority of them are) salve will definitely beat any product you have used before on your tattoos.
It is made with the purpose of quality and love, not quantity and greed.
The first three ingredients are: Hemp Seed Oil, Unrefined Shea Butter, Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. The rest of the ingredients are all natural, and mostly organic!

Plus, my talented man drew up the design for the labels!

Amazing Tattoo Balm
I used this on my latest tattoo, and after only one week, the last of the flakes were almost all gone, and my tattoo was almost completely healed! Compare one week to the normal two-three weeks healing time with most other tattoo balms! And it all comes down to it being healthy and natural. If you read the article, you will know that Amazing Creams and Lotions is all about not putting toxins and chemicals on your body, because that causes sickness, cancer, and death. Instead they use things that are actually good for your body, and your well-being! And the Tattoo Balm is no different!

There is also an ingredient in it that helps combat the itching! This is my favorite part, because tattoo itching is the absolute worst! The only time my tattoo itched at all in the first week was when I went more than 5 hours without applying the balm!

Amazing Tattoo Balm
INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO USE THE BALM
Always was your hands before applying.
Use a very small amount, just enough to cover the tattooed area.
DO NOT re-cover the tattoo with plastic wrap or a bandage for "healing purposes". Allow it to breath.
Apply Amazing Tattoo Balm 3 - 4 times a day. (Do not under or over due this step). More is not always better.
DO NOT pick scabs.
Repeat every day for 7-10 days or until all scabs are gone.

And yes, I know dogs tongues are "clean". Don't let them lick your tattoos, especially with the Amazing Tattoo Balm on.
A can of Amazing Tattoo Balm costs $12.00 plus shipping and handling.

You can go to Amazing Tattoo Balm's official website here.

You can buy them here, and if you would like to order in bulk and receive a discount on the cans, and shipping, you can message Nick here! You can also see if your local tattoo shop carries it! If they don't, have them contact Nick about getting a sample can and a price list, so they can get started selling!
