So here is our adventure!
Peace Love and Niagara Falls
Jess <3
At the end of September, me and and my wonderful family took off for a family vacay to Niagara Falls. It was a grand time! Not only did we all get to spend time together as a family, which doesn't happen as often as it used to, but we got to experience a natural wonder! The falls and the surrounding areas offer so many fun experiences, and we got to experience a lot of them! So here is our adventure! Lovin' Life! Ridin' a Trolley! We got to ride the Maid of the Mist, which is a boat that takes you right up close and personal with the falls (and all it's mist!)! We got to wear these stylish ponchos, feel the mist on our face, and experience up close, the power of the falls. We also got to experience the "Cave of the Winds", which was a series of stairs and platforms that took you right up next to the falls! This was probably my favorite thing we did! For this we also got ponchos, and even sandals! Which was a good thing, because we got soaked! The men in their mandals! So amazing and breathtaking! And because my sister's boyfriend is an avid (and extremely talented) gambler, we spent a lot of time into the early morning at the casino (the free drinks also helped!). We didn't hit a Jackpot, but we definitely had a blast, and even made some spending money! We also visited Smokin Joe's Native Center! I loooved this place, and not just because they had an amazing coffee house that we visited every day! I am very interested in Native Americans, and like to learn about them, so this place was really cool to see! This was a painting hanging up at Smokin' Joes, and it made me laugh SO HARD! It's funny, because I refuse to call Native Americans, Indians. And I'm constantly correcting people on it, because, the simple fact, that THEY'RE NOT INDIANS!!! PEOPLE FROM INDIA ARE INDIANS!!! So anyways, my whole family knows that this bothers me, and so one day my sister showed me this video below, and it summed up exactly how I feel about this whole Indian/Native American thing, and it's HILARIOUS!!! Ok, after you watch the video, I promise I'm done on this subject! :P Hehe. One night me and the fiance decided to try out our new passports, and hop the border and scope out a different country (we walked across the bridge to Canada)! It was pretty cool! We got some insanely cheap alcohol at the Duty Free Shop, and just walked around and explored! I found this aweeeesomeeee wax figure chillin on the side of the street behind glass! It looked so real, I was afraid! Me and my little sister. The Parentals. The wonderful group of people I got to spend my vacation with! I am just bursting at the seams to show you guys this set of engagement pictures!!! Nick's sister wanted to do a themed photoshoot for her portfolio, and since it was just SO us, she asked, and we decided to do them, and use them as our engagement pictures. I am beyond words thankful that we did, because these pictures turned out better than I could ever had hoped or dreamed for! These are not your typical; Sitting on a porch swing, standing by a tree, or laying beside a pond engagement pictures. Which is what I love so much about them! They are just so us, and capture the essence of our silliness, passion, love for vintage, romance, and uniqueness as a couple! All of this is showcased perfectly by the first picture below. This is my all-time favorite picture I have ever seen anywhere in the whole wide world!!! Well, I think all of these are, but this one is just magical!!! Enjoy!!! *Sigh* And now you come to the end of my engagement pictures. This once-in-a-lifetime moment has now passed us by, but I am glad to know that we had a blast, and have some amazing pictures to show for it! I am beyond grateful to Lauren from Lauren LaPinta Photography for capturing these stunning portraits of us.
