DIY Haunted Hair Candy
"Behold, DIY haunted hair candy for those of us that adore that spooky-chic look all year round."
Hello everyone! Today I am very excited to be teaming up with my blogging friend Samberlina Rodriguez, over at The Haunted Housewife! She's super cool, and I absolutely love her blog, which is full of Halloween inspiration all year round! You can find out more about her at the bottom of the post, but for now, let's get to crafting!

"As much as I love Halloween, the hair goodies and jewelry that you find during peak season are plastic, and not meant to last more than one night. I’m also not a fan of the color orange, especially right next to purple and black. Am I the only one? Anyway, moving on."

What You'll Need
Affiliate links, please view the disclosure policy!

-hot glue gun (or soldering iron if you like to live on the edge. We’re playing with metals on metals today, so I think it could work. Solder at your own risk!)

For the bat headband:

-headband blanks, $4 for 12 of them.
-bat charm, $2.85 each.

For the spider pin:

-bobby pin blanks, $5.58 for 10 of them
-spider charm"

What You'll Do
DIY Haunted Hair Candy
"This tutorial is incredibly simple, and is as easy as gluing your charm onto your blanks. Take your headband blank (or blanks), the ones I’ve chosen came in a pack of 12 from amazon. For the bat ornament, you’ll need to curve it to match the headband’s curvature. If it’s not curved enough, it will likely pop off after you glue it in place. Soldering ensures it’s there to stay forever, but solder at your own risk! Today, I prefer to glue it and see how that works out for the long haul. Glue your headband to the bat, you’re done! It took me a couple tries to get it right. Be patient! When you’ve succeeded, you’ve got a beautiful bat headband (or several bat headbands) to wear all year round!"

"How epic is this headband? Comes out to $3.18 each!!!"

"Now for the spider pin, you need to pick up some bobby pin blanks that have an area for you to glue your spider on to. These I found on amazon as well and were an add-on to my order and super cheap."

"Then, I picked my favorite spider charm from a seller on Etsy, and that’s when the magic happened. Simply glue and go! The spider pins come out to an awesome $4.51 each. They cost more than the headband, but this spider is my favorite and worth the extra cost, in my opinion."

"THESE ARE SERIOUSLY SO EASY AND AWESOME. YOU COULD MAKE THESE TO GIVE OUT TO YOUR FRIENDS WITH THE SAME STYLE, OR EVEN SELL THEM. I’VE SEEN THESE HEADBANDS GO TO $25 ON ETSY, WHICH IS OUTRAGEOUS IF YOU’RE A CHEAPSKATE LIKE I AM. I COULD MAKE NEARLY 8 OF THEM FOR THAT PRICE! ENJOY!"

Yay! Wasn't that great?! Thank you so much Samberlina, for that great post! You can read her original post here.

And today over on The Haunted Housewife, she will be posting a guest post from me, called "7 Ways to Make Your Home Halloween Ready". Go check it out!

"Samberlina Rodriguez is the creep behind The Haunted Housewife (http://www.thehauntedhousewife.com); a blog dedicated to the strange and unusual with a feminine twist. When she isn't haunting her humble abode, she's busy obsessing over beauty products, out chasing kitties, or making a mess with glitter. You can find her on Instagram, @hauntedhousewife."

A Week in My Life

A Week in My Life
I know a lot of you are curious about my life; it doesn't consist of the normal 9-5 job or taking care of kids, I blog weekly, I only work my "normal" job 2-3 days a week, and I always seem to be traveling somewhere, or doing something random! So what does my week look like? Keep reading to find out!

Monday
One bizarre thing about me; I love Mondays! Yes indeed, I love them! Mondays are my blogging day; I pack myself some snacks, coffee, and water, and head off to the library, or a coffee shop (in which case I don't pack any coffee). Some days I'll just stay at home and set up at the table. On average, I spend anywhere from six to eight hours at my location (some people close down bars, I close down libraries and coffee shops!). Yes, blogging is very time consuming! I not only write and publish a blog post, but that's just the beginning of it! After I hit publish, I need to promote that article on four different social media platforms, and then make and send out a campaign for my mailing list (subscribe to it below)! I also answer emails from people asking about advertising rates and guest posts. On Mondays I also schedule my facebook, shop facebook, blog facebook, twitter, and P.A.T.H.S facebooks to be posted throughout the week. This step takes a while, but it really saves me time in the long run, so I don't have to get on my laptop every day to post things!

A Week in My Life
Tuesday
Tuesdays are also wonderful, because I get to do whatever I want! In the morning I make myself some tea or coffee, and sit and relax with that, and talk to whoever happens to be at home at that moment. The rest of the day is filled with; finishing up any blogging stuff I didn't complete the day before, crafting, replying to messages and filling any orders from my Fiverr or Etsy pages, reading books, taking baths, and playing with the puppies! My husband's schedule can vary, but sometimes he gets off Tuesdays, so we get to spend time together! We run errands, watch a movie at the Dollar Theater, go dancing, play video games, and just enjoy each others' company!
At night I make a meal for the family. Since there is currently seven people living in the house, I need to make a lot of food!

Wednesday
Wednesdays are tiring, but good days! Wednesdays are my "I'm a Domestic 50's Housewife Goddess" day (that's just my way of saying that I clean a lot!).
I have a once a week housecleaning job, and I do that Wednesday mornings. It's nice because it's about 3 minutes from my house, and it only takes me about 3 hours. Once I get home,
I clean both bathrooms top to bottom, clean and sweep our bedroom, and go through and organize any papers or piles of anything laying around that need organized. I also do our laundry, which takes a little more time, because we don't use a dryer. So after the clothes are washed, I hang the t-shirts up in the laundry room, the pants and shorts outside on the line, and all the socks and underwear on the drying racks outside. I usually also bring in all of my Mom's laundry from the previous day and fold those for her. After everything is dried, I fold them and put them away. I also hand wash all of my underwear that day, do a hair mask, and take a long hot shower.

Thursday
I leave at 10:00 Thursday morning to go to my waitressing job. Since it's a weekday morning shift, I'm only there until two, or three at the latest. Once I'm done, I do grocery shopping, and run any errands that need done. I get home about 5:00, then hang out with my family and the dogs the rest of the day.

Picture
Friday
Friday morning I sleep in, only get out of bed to get a cup of coffee, then spend the next four hours in my pajamas, in bed, drinking coffee and watching Netflix. At 3:00 I leave, get food at work, then work a very busy, non-stop shift at Roosters (my waitressing job). I get home at about midnight, then pass out.

Picture
Saturday
Saturday morning I wake up at 9:30, leave for work at 10, and get home at 5:00. The rest of the day I get to do "normal" weekend stuff; hang out with friends, and hang out with my husband! Yay!

Picture
Sunday
Sunday mornings we usually go to church with my parents, then out to eat afterwards with the entire family. Once we get home, I instantly change into pajamas, and it's relax mode for the rest of the day! Nick can't sit still for that long, so he does errands or gets stuff done that he didn't have time for during the week. So I lay in bed watching Netflix, relaxing, and loving life! Once Nick gets home we play video games and/or watch a couple episodes of whatever t.v show we're currently sucked into! Then we go to sleep.
The next morning I wake up, and I get to do it all over again! Yay!
So that is a week in my life! Pretty fun right?! Well, it is perfect for me, and I absolutely love it!
*What about you? What does your week look like? Do you love it? If not, what can you do to change that?!*

Peace Love and a Week in My Life

And there it is; my Ultimate Bucket List! I hope you enjoyed it, and maybe got some inspiration for your own list! If you don't have one yet, never fear, I wrote a great article about how to write your own bucket list, as well as how I came up with the idea for writing my own!
I
absolutely love my list. I love looking at all the goals I've got to cross off over the years, and I love looking at all the goals that I will eventually get to cross off! I use it when planning trips, and when planning my year ahead.
And yes, all the pictures on this post are actual pictures of me, crossing off the items on my ultimate bucket list!
Be sure to check out my Bucket List page, and you can see the rest of my pictures of me crossing off bucket list items! They're super fun to look at!

What are some things that are on your ultimate bucket list?
What are some items you've crossed off your bucket list that have made you super proud of yourself?
