World Changing Wednesdays Pt. 2!

World Changing Wednesday Part 2
Thank you for coming back for my second installment of World Changing Wednesdays! The goal of WCW is to unite us; for us to take one day out of our week to stop thinking of ourselves, and to try to figure out how we can make this world a better place. It is so easy for us to say, "I want to help." or "I want to change the world." But then we lose ambition, forget, or just don't know what we can do! So that is why I have started this. Every week, or every other week, I will tell you some small, and some bigger things you can do to change the world. I will sometimes even have stories for you about people that I know who have created change in their and people's lives around them! So get ready to have your world rocked, and to start a revolution! If you haven't read the first Installment, please read it here.
In order to completely change this world, and people's lives around you, you need to be willing, and open.
That's it! By making use of these two simple little things, you have completely unlimited potential! Confused? Let me explain why each of these is so important.

1. You need to be willing. This is SUPER important! If you don't WANT to help people around you, then you never WILL! If you don't really really want to help people, you will never look for opportunities, and you will never really make an effort! So first of all, really make sure that your heart is in the right place, and that you really have the desire to do good. THAT is when the magic starts to happen.

2. You need to be open. You don't necessarily need to go looking for opportunities, but you can't just sit around and wait for them to find you either! You need to keep your eyes, ears, heart, and subconscious mind open for any available opportunity. If you are not open, you won't recognize when an opportunity has presented itself to you! Then you will get frustrated (like I once did), and say, "There just isn't anything I can do!" But that sooo isn't true. There are SO many opportunities out there! And I promise you, you don't have to be constantly searching, driving yourself crazy, and always thinking about it. As long as you have opened yourself up, and let the universe know that you are open and willing, you WILL find something. That day at thezoo, I was not looking for opportunities. Not at all! But since I am open and willing, when I was presented with an opportunity to help someone, I recognized it, and was ready for it! A lot of us are so pre-occupied with our own lives, our own dramas, and our own struggles, that it completely blocks our vision to others. You will find that when you stop worrying about yourself so much, and start thinking of others, that that is when your eyes and heart will truly be opened to the needs and struggles of those around you. And this is when you will find opportunities.

And that is all there is to it. The first step you need to take. Now I'm not saying that it's easy! Because it's not! Most of us don't naturally walk around with a sense of open-ness, or a sense of purpose and direction. And it's not natural for us to stop thinking of ourselves and start thinking of others It takes practice! So for the next two weeks, I want you to practice. Practice being open and willing. Practice looking at the world through your heart, and through the eyes of those around you. It's a little weird at first, but once you get the hang of it, it is actually awesome! And that is when you will truly have unlimited potential!
Here are some easy places to start practicing:
*Work- Chances are, you already have a good relationship with your co-workers and
customers. So if you're a little more shy, this is a great place to start!
*Restaurants- Me and my love were just talking last night about how whenever we go out
to eat, we always end up becoming friends with our server. This is an excellent opportunity
to find out about his/her life, and a great opportunity to bless them by leaving a generous
tip, and an encouraging note! I personally think that this is a great way to help someone
 out!
*Your neighborhood- Getting to know your neighbors and their struggles, is a great way to
 practice looking for opportunities.
*Your own home- I can not express enough how important it is to look for opportunities to
help your husband/wife/sister/father. Family is so so important, and if we can't help out our
family, then who can we help?
*School- Another great place to look for opportunities! You see these people every day!

Start going to these places with a sense of purpose, and a sense of open-ness, ready-ness, and willingness. I'm sure you will be surprised at what you find.
I will not be posting a World Changing Wednesday Post next Wednesday, because I want to give you two weeks to practice. It does take time, so don't be frustrated! In two Wednesdays, I would LOOOVE to hear from you about how this is going for you! Can't wait to hear from you! Good Luck!

I know that sometimes it can be difficult to know where to start; how to go about changing the world, and touching people's lives. So today I am going to tell you the most basic, yet probably most important thing you can do to start creating miracles all around you. If you do this, there is no stopping your potential. Are you ready? Here is the first step!

Peace Love and World Changing

World Changing Wednesdays!

World Changing Wednesdays

I am starting a new weekly post called, "World Changing Wednesdays." Now, I am aware that the name of my first weekly post, "Money Management Mondays" is a bit cheesy, and now I'm adding a, "World Changing Wednesdays" to the mix! But I'm ok with cheesy! I think it's cute, and besides that, catchy and easy to remember! I am very excited about this, and it all started yesterday at the zoo...
Yesterday me, the boyfriend, and some friends went to the Cleveland Zoo. While I was waiting for my sandwich to get made at the Zoo Food Court, the guy making it looked really stressed and upset, so I started talking to him. Turns out, he just found out that his girlfriend is pregnant, and although excited, they were having insurance problems. So he was just really stressed. I told him congratulations and good luck, then sat down and ate my zoo food. While eating, I could not shake the feeling that I really wanted to do something for this guy. I wanted to write him a check, or give him fifty bucks, but I didn't have a dime on me, and I hadn't brought my checkbook because I brought a small purse with me. I felt sad, because I really had this strong feeling that I had to do SOMETHING. No matter how small. All of a sudden I remembered; that morning before we left for the zoo, I had given to my boyfriend, a gift card that I had bought a year earlier for my friend's baby shower that I ended up not going to. And get this, on it it said, "For Your Baby." My boyfriend gave me back the gift card (the next day I just gave him the money for the gift card), and I re-approached the food counter. I was a bit nervous, but was comforted by the fact that this whole thing was just meant to be. The man (I never even got his name), looked concerned and asked if everything was ok with my food. I told him it was, then held out the Baby Gift  Card. I said, "This is for you." He started to protest saying I didn't have to, but I interrupted him and said, "Congratulations and good luck." His face became a shining light of joy, and he reached out, shook my hand, and said thank you. I went back to my seat, and as we all rose to leave, the lady working the cash register came over and told us that the man had said to give us all free ice cream! As I ate my Rocket Pop, I was so overcome with emotion. I was filled with the awe and wonderment of two people doing what they both could, to make this world a little better, a little brighter, and just helping out their fellow man. It really wasn't big gifts at all; the gift card had only $10 on it, and 4 Rocket Pops couldn't have cost any more than that. But the amount is not the important part. Something beautiful happened at that Cleveland Zoo Food Court. Two people reached out doing all they could. And that is really all you can ask for.

I want to start a movement. And that is why I am starting World Changing Wednesdays. I don't want this to just be me sharing one story, everyone feeling good for a minute, vowing to do a good deed, then going on about our lives. I want this to be a weekly thing. I want once a week for a group of people to join together, and vow to do what we can to make this world we live in a better place.
On World Changing Wednesdays I want to share with you, real people's stories of changing the world, organizations you can partner with to change the world, little everyday things you can do to change the world, and give you inspiration and hope that you CAN do something powerful.
So stop by every Wednesday, because we need each other, and the world needs us. Let's unite, to form a force so powerful, that the whole world will see a change. We CAN and we WILL do this! So please, click the button below that says comment, and comment saying, "I Will Join." Then click the facebook share button, and the twitter button, and share this link, and this story with your friends! We need to get this out there, and share it with as many people as we can! I am SO excited to see how much good we will do, and how we will change this world!

Please comment, and please share! And stop by next Wednesday!

Money Management Mondays! Pt. 8

Welcome back to Money Management Mondays!!! Yay!
If you're new here, Money Management Mondays is a weekly post where I share with you my best, most effective and favorite money saving tips! The tips that I myself have discovered and used to travel the world, working only 2-3 days a week as a waitress! You can read all about that story
here!
Below are the previous 7 installments of Money Management Mondays, and you can click on them to read them!

1. Don't own a smart phone.

2. Don't have a car payment.
3. Don't smoke cigarettes.
4. Don't play the lottery.
5. Purchase my Financial E-Course.
6. Live Cheaply
7. Be Positive about Your Money.

Money Management Mondays Pt. 8; Special Announcement!
For today's Money Management Monday, I have a special announcement to make! And instead of just writing it, I'm going to tell you myself! I'm SO excited! Yay!
How exciting is that?!! I am really excited about this, because first of all, I was told in a dream to do it, and it just seemed RIGHT! Lately I've started diving into my intuition, self-conscious, and sixth sense (blame the book, "Think and Grow Rich" which is AMAZING), and I think it's really starting to pay off! I really felt like this dream was my self conscious, my intuition, and my sixth sense, all working together to tell me that this was something I needed to do!
The second reason I'm super excited about this announcement, is because I know that now everybody can afford to purchase a Financial Course!!! I realize that in doing this, I am losing out on $15, but I don't even care about that! I want everyone to be able to afford this! I think this is super important, because when you invest in yourself, it's saying, "I'm worth it. I'm going to better myself, better my life, and better my future!" And that is exactly what you will do when you purchase this!

So that was my super exciting announcement, and I just ask that you stop and think about it; Think about how small an amount $10 is! Skip one lunch at a restaurant, instead packing your lunch, and BAM! there's $10! Skip your morning Starbucks for one week, and BAM! $10! Think about how worth it is to spend that on yourself, your life, your family, your family's life, your future, and your family's future! In twenty years, when you realize you have no money saved for retirement, no savings, and you realize that you've lived your whole life financially stressed, never knowing where your money went, and never living the life that you wanted to, you will kick yourself for not spending that $10!

Here's what some people have said about my Financial Coaching E-Course after trying it for themselves!
Picture
"Jess's Financial help is the bees's knees" -Cody Volke(age 23,Ohio)
(This is from my little brother. He was actually the first person I gave the e-course to. He makes about $400 every Friday, and before my budget, by the end of the weekend, he would be almost completely out of money! He didn't have any money in his savings account, was constantly overdrawing money from it, and was borrowing money from people. He's been following the budget I made specifically for him, for three months now, and already, he has paid off $88 in debt, put $55 in his retirement fund, has paid all his bills on time, & even has $500 in his Savings account!!!)

Picture
"Jess' Money Saving Program is more helpful than you would think. I was the kind of person that will save little to no money. If I do have money saved, the first cool thing I see that I want, I will go out and buy it with that money. Leaving me with nothing. I always waited till the last minute to pay my bills which usually ended up making them all late. I was always stressed out and I hated it! I'm not going to lie, it's a little hard at first to just toss your money aside, knowing you have it and not touch it. But after that first initial month and you see how easy it was and knowing your bills are payed ontime... You just feel so much better about yourself. I personally still do this and plan to keep on doing this. So I live smart now, so that one day hopefully my kids don't have to struggle and they can do good too. This program/ system that Jess has guided and helped me through not only got me into the habit of saving money, but doing it over a month long period so that I was able to have all my bills payed ON TIME!! I am now on my second month of this system, and I feel so much beter knowing I have money saved for bills, fun, a car soon, and money for food and gas. It may not seem like a lot of money at first that you are putting aside, but just like anything else, the little things are what add up the quickest!!! This plan works, and I am so glad that I had Jess to help me and give me a  little peace in my mind from those very things that I know stress out everyone else too."
