Hehe you can tell I'm super excited and ready to be eating that ice cream cone!
Ok, I know in the picture I'm wearing a coat and it looks slightly chilly, but in Ohio, any kind of sunshine calls for a celebration!
So to celebrate today's bursts of warmth, me and the fiance (so weird to think that in a couple weeks that title will change!) went to "Just Ice Cream and a Bit More", a newly opened Ice Cream Shop in the town of Brewster, just a couple minutes from my parent's house.

"JIC" was absolutely adorable! It is located in a tiny little shop right off the main road in Brewster. The inside has mint green walls, and a huge chalkboard menu!
The building that it's in, is the one building every town has that no matter what business goes in there, it always seems to fail. So there's just a string of random stores that are constantly rotating in and out of it for years, until finally, some random business comes along, wildly succeeds, and puts an end to it!
Well, I have a good feeling that "JIC" will be that business!

One of the main reasons I wanted to visit "JIC" was because I had heard that they carried dairy-free ice cream! I'm lactose intolerant, so going on outings with friends and family to dariettes and ice cream shops has always been a bit painful and awkward for me, always having to ask the clerk lamely, "I know that this is a dairy-ette, but do you have anything here that isn't dairy", and usually ending up just drinking water or some juice.
So anyways! Hearing that a local ice cream parlor was carrying dairy-free ice cream, I just had to check it out! And I was not disappointed! I don't know how they did it, but that vanilla ice cream (they have a second flavor of dairy free ice cream that rotates in and out also) tasted as smooth, creamy and flavorful as any ice cream you could ever eat! I was so shocked and overjoyed! The day had finally come!!!

Needless to say, we had a great time, and I was so happy (finally) eating ice cream!!! After we were done, we got a cone to go, and at home gave it to our pups!
